Landscape Maintenance Laborer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Landscape Maintenance Laborer is someone with little to no landscape experience willing to learn and grow with us.  The position works as a member of the team, follows the Team Leaders instruction, assists completing jobs within specified hours, and works to exceed the customers' expectations.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes landscape maintenance duties such as but not limited to hedge/shrub trimming, spring clean-ups, fall clean-ups, edging/mulching, pruning, etc. as instructed

• Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner meeting the company productivity targets while meeting our quality standards

• Communicates well with Team Leader and supervisor

• Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times

• Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed and notifies Team Leader of needed repairs

• Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, hedge clippers, blowers, line trimmers, etc.

• Safely operates vehicles such as truck and trailer combinations

• Snow removal and ice management during the winter months



 KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE

• This position requires little to no experience in the landscaping field but is a plus

• Strong oral and written communication skills, time management, job planning skills, problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude are a plus

• Snow shovel/blower and plowing experience is a plus

• Clean Drivers License is required for all positions, CDL is a plus



 REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Positive attitude with appreciation and excitement towards the industry

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and under seasonal pressure is a must

• Clean and professional appearance

• Punctual and dependable is a must

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean DMVR and current auto insurance coverage

• Willing to work in a drug free workplace



 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Typical spring through fall schedule: Monday-Friday Start Time 7:00am until route / scheduled project is completed or about 8-12 hours per day Saturday's as required (Hours very day to day)

• 24 hour availability during winter months for snow and ice control

• Paid weekly, direct deposit is required
